How it started and why its great journey.
The kingdom was shrouded in darkness, heavy like storm clouds looming over slumbering valleys. In the abandoned mines, where once the clamor of work and the echo of pickaxes filled the air, now lay a dead silence, broken only by the wailing of wind wandering through the rocks. Faint wisps of smoke lingered over the rooftops of empty homes – the last remnants of fading life. But this twilight was no ordinary one. It was the Twilight of the Gods. After the catastrophe, the world plunged into the abyss of oblivion. Two ancient forces, locked in fierce conflict, shattered harmony, taking with it the Guardian of Temporal Tides. His disappearance left chaos in its wake, with only fragments of a key scattered across the world as clues. Without this key, the temporal tides – restless, fickle rivers of time – ceased to flow in harmony with the natural order. The souls and existences of the kingdom’s inhabitants drifted in uncertainty, suspended between being and non-being. But not all was lost. The dwarves, resilient and unyielding, were the first to break free from the abyss of forgetfulness. Their kingdom began to pulse with life once more – reborn, but isolated. Beyond its borders lay the unknown, veiled in mists. Dwarven scholars spoke of strange phenomena: lands that appeared and vanished, as if torn from reality by an invisible force. Time, however, was the enemy. The temporal tides could shift at any moment, leaving all progress in ruins. The dwarves knew they had to act swiftly. The Guardian had left clues to finding the key to restore balance – fragments hidden in the far corners of this shattered world. But finding them was only part of the task. The lost civilizations of humans, orcs, and elves remained out of reach, their fates cloaked in mystery. Where were their territories? Had they survived, or had they been consumed by the relentless vortex of time? Beyond the dwarven kingdom stretched the frontier, where chaos reigned. Every step beyond familiar borders was a risk – a risk of being lost in the infinite tides of time, wandering through eternity without purpose or hope. Yet the stakes were too high to hesitate. The survival of the world, the fate of its inhabitants, and the future of the hourglass itself depended on those brave enough to challenge the darkness. There is one more thing you must know: the hourglass does not hold sand but temporal tides carrying the souls and existences of all the kingdom’s inhabitants. A dreadful fate awaits those lost in the tides, wandering endlessly. No one knows when the tides will shift again. It is time to rally the dwarves for battle and find the clues. One thing is certain: when the temporal tides flow once more, everything will hang in the balance in the days that follow.
